The failure rate can be minimized; its adaptability is greatly enhanced, and the accident source can be accurately positioned and quickly eliminated. Previously, the first domestic 200,000-ton/year plant successfully manufactured by Daxuan Plastics Co., Ltd. has been operating smoothly for more than a year at Yanshan Petrochemical. The 100,000-ton/year polypropylene extrusion granulation unit has been delivered to Sinopec Zhongyuan Petrochemical Co., Ltd. The company, 250,000 tons/year polyethylene extrusion granulation unit is also in full swing manufacturing, China's independently designed large extrusion granulator DCS (Distribution Control System) has been verified. The automation control system has been hailed by the industry as a “brain” for major technical equipment. As a large-scale extrusion granulator for one of the three million-ton ethylene engineering power plants, the core control system for both new and old equipment has achieved “the Chinese brain. Made in China".

According to the person in charge of the large rubber and plastic company, before 2010, all domestic units of this type rely on imports. The Chinese market is mainly monopolized by three foreign manufacturers. Most of the large extrusion granulation units introduced were controlled by PLC, and a few units were controlled by DCS+ESD (Emergency Stop). After more than ten years of operation, the electrical components of the control system of the imported unit were required to be replaced at the time, but the components were no longer available for purchase, and the only spare parts import cycle was long. Once the main component has a problem, it will seriously affect the device production.

It is understood that by 2020 domestic ethylene production will reach 24 million tons, a net increase of production of 18 million tons, together with the annual transformation of ethylene companies need more than 100 large extrusion granulation units. Due to the strict safety requirements of large petrochemical plants, for the sake of safety, the transformation of old equipment control systems for large extrusion granulators has not been undertaken by domestic companies. If the large-scale extrusion granulation unit production and transformation work is fully localized, it will save the country at least US$1.5 billion in funds.
