One Heavy Duty Crane Suspended Bus in Shanghai Was Injured

Today (June 22) at 2:30 pm, a heavy crane and a bus collided at the Fangdian intersection of Lilac Road in the Pudong New Area. The accident caused many passengers on the bus to be injured.

The reporter saw that photos taken by netizens showed that the crane of the heavy-duty crane was directly inserted into the carriage from the back door position of the right side of the bus No. 983, and two passengers sitting near the back door were stuck. The impacted bus was left tilted about 20 degrees to the left and the two wheels on the right were completely off the ground. The cabin was severely deformed and many passengers were injured.

According to reports, after the accident, public security, fire protection, and ambulance departments rushed to the scene and the accidental road section was temporarily controlled. After about one and a half hours of intense rescue, the two accident vehicles were finally separated and injured passengers were promptly sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As of press time, on-site rescue work is still in progress. One passenger was seriously injured and was receiving treatment in the hospital.
