The reporter learned from yesterday’s Beijing Automotive Industry Group’s 2009 ceremony that the first production and sales exceeded 1 million vehicles. From January to October this year, Beijing Automobile Industry Group produced a total of 1,024,000 vehicles, an increase of 52.7% year-on-year; and sold 1,018,000 vehicles. The growth rate was 51.6% year-on-year. The growth rate exceeded the average growth rate of the domestic industry. The growth in production and sales ranked first among the large enterprise groups in the same industry. The operating revenue and profits were both ranked first among the SASAC supervisory enterprise groups. It is reported that this is the first time since the birth of the Beijing automobile industry for half a century that it has achieved production and sales of more than 1 million vehicles within a year.
According to reports, since the beginning of this year, the four major auto companies under the banner of BAIC have constantly updated their production and sales history.
