With the development of science and technology, there is now an induction wiper, that is, through the rain sensor to detect the size of the raindrop, automatically open and adjust the speed of the wiper operation, to provide drivers in rainy days the convenience and safety of rain driving.

You don't need to adjust manually according to sudden and small raindrops. After the rain stops, the wiper will stop automatically. Its working principle is mainly based on the sensor to communicate. Nowadays, the popular sensors in the market are optical sensors and capacitive sensors. The working principles of the two sensors are described below.


The optical sensor is developed based on the principle of light refraction. The optical sensor is equipped with a light emitting diode. It emits a beam of conical light. The light passes through the front windshield and when there is no rain on the windshield during sunny days, All the light will be reflected on the optical sensor. When the rain is raining, there will be rain on the windshield. Some of the light will deviate and the sensor will not receive all the light. This method detects the presence of rain.

Capacitive sensors were developed based on the large differences in the dielectric constants of water and glass. The dielectric constant of water is 80, and the dielectric constant of glass is 2. Two finger metal plates are inserted parallelly between the inner and outer layers of the windshield. When the windshield is in a dry and no rain state, a dielectric is formed between the outer surface of the windshield and each set of finger metal plates. . When it rains, the windshield gets wetter, and depending on the amount of water in contact with the windshield, the dielectric constant of the windshield changes differently.

After the induction wiper is installed, as long as the rain covers the entire layer of glass, the sunroof and the window will receive the automatic command of the sensor and will automatically shut down. It does not require the driver to manually operate it. It is very intelligent and user-friendly.
